We’re all about working out for a cause other than our dress size. Which is why we will be coming out on Sunday morning, September 23rd to support the Heart and Vascular Institute of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center at The Heart of the Community Event hosted by Retro Fitness in Tenafly.
Additional motivation can be found in our desire to check out the newly opened Impetus Fitness also in Tenafly. Dynamic duo Jerome Anderson and Freddie Arango, previously of The Gym, recently opened the studio housing a roster of workout gurus (like local kickbox killer trainer Lauren Kerin) sure to whip you into shape. There are tons of engaging and energizing classes, from Spin to TRX to Bootcamp plus a private personal training room for clients who want one-on-ones. And, finally, you’ll be able to find out firsthand why kettlebell classes are the buzziest workouts around. (Stay tuned for yoga and kids/teen classes coming soon.)
So come out this Sunday and flex to a medley of Impetus’ signature classes for a mere $20 charitable donation at The Heart of the Community Event with neighbor Retro Fitness from 9am to 2pm for a great cause.
See, it’s no sweat.

Where Can I Take My 6 Month Old for Swim Lessons? - Nadia M.
Hey Nadia!
There are tons of great places in Bergen for indoor swimming lessons where even the tiniest of tots can get exposure to the basics and feel comfortable in the water. The YJCC Bergen in Washington Township is a spot which is centrally located and you don’t have to be a member to enjoy their heated pool and experienced aquatics staff. The YJCC’s Little Sharks Swim School has programs for kids as young as 6 months, plus the center offers private and semi-private lessons as well. For more details check out their full program here.
